The Tango Performance classes will include several of the steps that are taught in Beginner l & ll Tango,
but will also include steps that ballroom dancers don't normally do on the social dance floor.
It is classifed as an Intermediate level routine! The patterns and steps in this routine will not
be the greatest challenge, nor will it be the speed as it is slow. Instead we will be challenged
to use our hands, arms, and legs to create great lines and presentation. The attention
to the details in this routine is what will make this performance and it will also
be this emphasis that will cause all of our dancing to have better styling
and presentation. A drastic change from the Cha Cha routine
and yet equally challenging and fun in it's own way!

WEST COAST SWING

West Coast Swing (WCS) is a partner dance. It is characterized by a distinctive elastic look that results from its basic extension-compression technique of partner connection, and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor. The dance allows for both partners to improvise steps while dancing together. Clubs all across the country gather to dance nothing but WCS. Danced to a wide variety of music, including the country and rhythm & blues of the southeast, WCS offers a time-tested and age-proof dance for everyone.
This course is a Beginner l WCS class and does not have a prerequisite. It is, however, recommended that students desiring to learn WCS in these classes either have some measure of confidence in their ability to learn dance movement or some exposure in some form of dance.

Experience the fun of ballroom

Smooth Dance (Waltz) and one
Rhythm Dance (Swing). Each dance
will be taught for three weeks.
An excellent opportunity – the
beautiful Waltz and the ever
popular Swing! Great exercise
for your body and your brain
(scientifically proven). Any age

Beginner ll Tango: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Prerequisite: These Beginner ll classes are built upon the knowledge learned in
the Tango 1 classes. Tango's stacato movement and checking techniques are unique to Tango! Come practice the
steps learned in Tango l and learn more exciting, romantic steps to add to your repetoire!
The cost is $40.00 per couple or $25.00 per single.
Beginner l Polka 7:45pm - 8:45pm
Prerequisite: These classes are absolute beginner classes in Polka. Polka is a lively European dance that is popular all
over the world. However, this dance is sometimes overlooked because of the traditional Polka music that it is danced to.
However, those who give it a chance find out that it can be one of the most fun dances there is. The technique is not quite
as strict as other ballroom dances and the movement around the floor is often more dramatic. Over time, this dance has
has grown on me and become one of my favorite dances to just have fun with. It is for young and old alike
and can hardly be danced with an unhappy face! The cost is $40.00 per couple or $25.00 per single.
