2007 LATIN-AMERICAN FESTIVAL
ADMISSION: Free and open to the public.
You are cordially invited to the 2007 Latin-American Festival - The best Latin fiesta in town. It’s a family-friendly outdoor concert promoting the Latin culture through the presentation of its music, songs and dances.

AMATEUR SINGING CONTEST
It will take place during the Latin-American Festival. I’m asking everyone to help us find talented amateur contestants. People you know who are ready to be discovered. There will be cash prizes for the top winners. These are the contest rules:
· Contest will take place
· Open to amateur entertainers ONLY - 15 years and older.
· Limited to 15 participants. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Entry deadline is
· Contest starts at
· Song of any category/genre will be accepted: Latin, country, rock-n-roll, soul, jazz, gospel, etc.
· Time limit for each act is 2 minutes. Points will be deducted for contestants going over time.
· Contestants have the option of singing a capella (no accompaniment) or bringing karaoke-style recorded music on CD.
· Acts can be solo or ensemble, with 8 people as the maximum in any one group (ensemble).
· Vocalist may use recorded music provided it contains instrumental accompaniment ONLY. Absolutely no backup vocals are allowed on CD.
· All acts must use language and dress codes that will appeal to all ages. REMEMBER--THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT.
· Festival organizers will notify you of your acceptance and approximate scheduled time.
· Guest judges and audience applause will determine outcome. Decision will be final.
· First, second and third place winners will receive cash awards.
